LAWMEN have arrested two of the most wanted persons, including a crime group member, in Zamboanga Peninsula in separate law enforcement operations, a top police official said Monday, March 22.

Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested wanted persons as Victor Catada Retes Jr., 47, and Gomer Espina Patcho, 49.

Ylagan said Retes was arrested in a law enforcement operation around 10 a.m. Monday in Zone 1 in Kauswagan village, Cagayan de Oro City.

Ylagan said Retes is the number 10 most wanted person in Roxas, Zamboanga del Norte and has a standing warrant of arrest for qualified theft with P60,000 recommended bail.

Patcho, on the other hand, was arrested in another law enforcement operation around 9 a.m. Monday in Mount Tarak in Alas-Asin village, Mariveles, Bataan.

Patcho is the number 7 most wanted person in Mahayag, Zamboanga del Sur and has a standing warrant of arrest for murder with no recommended bail.

Ylagan said Patcho is a member of the Ozamiz City-based Parojinog crime group involved in gun-for-hire, extortion and robbery hold-up. (SunStar Zamboanga)
