LAWMEN have arrested two wanted persons, one of them listed as top 7 most wanted, in an intelligence-driven law enforcement operation in the province of Zamboanga del Norte, the police reported Saturday, March 13, 2021.

Police Captain Edwin Duco, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified them as Totong Indal alias Kawan, 36; and, Homer Ocampo, 42.

Duco said Indal was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 11 p.m. Friday in Balatakan village, Sirawai, Zamboanga del Norte.

He said Indal, listed as the top 7 most wanted in Sirawai, has standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued on January 17, 2006 by the court of Siocon, Zamboanga del Norte.

Duco said Ocampo was arrested in another law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 10 p.m. Friday in Siay village, Siocon.

He said Ocampo has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no recommended bail issued on July 11, 2015 by the court of Siocon.

Recovered from Ocampo were two caliber .45 pistols and loaded with five live ammunition each.

Duco said the two arrested wanted persons were placed under the temporary custody of the police in Sirawai and Siocon for proper disposition. (SunStar Philippines)
