A ROBBERY suspect was arrested by elements of the Talomo police at Shell-Ulas early Wednesday noon.

He was identified as Kevin John Pagar, 27, pump attendant at Shell-Matina, and a resident of Block 1, Puan, Brgy. Talomo.

Maj. Sea Logronio, the Talomo Police Station commander, said he was arrested around noon when he was positively identified by witness.

Apparently, the witness bumped with the suspect at an alley where the latter removed his hood. The pockets of his maong pants were also bursting.

“From his description, investigators obtained preliminary information on the suspect who happened to be a former employee of the said gas station,” Logronio said.

The suspect was found in his residence in Puan and he was pinpointed by the staff of Shell-Ulas and the witness as the one who robbed the gasoline station.

The stolen money, amounting to P54,260, was recovered inside his rented bedroom.

The suspect also confessed to the crime and asked for forgiveness. He told the police he was just desperate for money, which drove him to rob the store. He only wanted to steal money but when he was seen by the cashier grabbing the cash, he panicked. As a result, he grabbed a sharp object and threatened the cashier with harm before escaping from the front door.

“Even though this isolated incident is considered solved, we are still conducting a thorough investigation into whether the suspect still has cohorts,” he added.

Pagar is now under custody of the Talomo Police Station.
