POLICE have arrested three most wanted persons in separate law enforcement operations in Zamboanga Peninsula, an official said Monday, May 24.

Police Major Shellamie Chang, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula information officer, identified the arrested wanted persons as Joey Opo, 33; Wilmart Siñerez, 22; and Carlito Murcia, 46.

Chang said Opo was arrested in a law enforcement operation around 11 a.m. Sunday, May 23, in Purok Santo Niño, Libertad, Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

Chang said Opo has been listed as the number one most wanted person in Mandaue City, Cebu and has a standing warrant of arrest for robbery with rape with no recommended bail issued by the court of Cebu City.

Chang said Siñerez was arrested around 9:30 a.m. Sunday, May 23, on Jayna Street, Sitio Camarin in 175 village, Caloocan City.

She said Siñerez has been listed as the number two most wanted person in Vincenzo Sagun, Zamboanga del Sur and has standing warrant of arrest for rape and acts of lasciviousness with P12,000 recommended bail.

She said Murcia was arrested around 4 a.m. Monday, May 24, in Purok 1 in Taguitic village, Kapatagan, Lanao del Norte.

Murcia has a standing warrant of arrest for murder with no recommended bail issued by the court of Aurora, Zamboanga del Sur.

Chang said Murcia has been listed as the number seven most wanted person in Sominot, Zamboanga del Norte. (SunStar Zamboanga)
