AN ALLEGED big-time drug pusher was arrested, while some P340,000 worth of illegal drugs were seized in an anti-drug operation Monday, September 13, in Zamboanga City, a top police official said.

Police Brigadier General Ronaldo Genaro Ylagan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Daniel Rajal, 24, a resident of San Jose Gusu village.

Ylagan said Rajal was nabbed in a buy-bust operation shortly after 10 a.m. Monday, September 13, in front of a business establishment along the busy street of Veterans Avenue in Camino Nuevo village.

Seized from Rajal were 50 grams of shabu placed in a box of a wireless earphone with an estimated worth of P340,000, a bundle of boodle money topped with one genuine P1,000 bill, a sling bag, a cellular phone, and a motorcycle.

He said Rajal had been under surveillance prior to the launch of the buy-bust operation.

He said charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002 will be filed against the arrested suspect. (SunStar Zamboanga)
