Dr. Elmeir Jade Apolinario, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (CDRRMO) chief, said the incident spawned by continuous rains happened around 2 a.m. Thursday at Sitio Tuwalang in Muti.
Apolinario said no injury nor damage was reported but at least six families were temporarily evacuated to safer area.
The village council of Muti facilitated the evacuation of the families, who opted to stay with their relatives in nearby areas.
Apolinario said his office and the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO) responded and provided relief assistance to affected families.
He said that the landslide area is approximately a kilometer away from the Muti village hall. (SunStar Zamboanga)
