POLICEMEN have arrested a high-value target (HVT) suspect in an anti-drug operation in the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, an official said Saturday, June 25, 2022.

Police Colonel Albert Larubis, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the arrested suspect as Jayboy Elorde, 31, the top 8 priority target in the town of Ipil, the province'’ capital.

Larubis said that Elorde was arrested in an anti-drug operation around 11:20 p.m. Friday, June 24, in Purok Dayang in Tiayon village, Ipil.

Seized from the suspect were some P7,990 worth of suspected shabu and P500 marked money, Larubis said.

He said the suspect was detained pending the filing of formal charges against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
