ONE person was arrested while some P108,800 worth of illegal drugs seized in an anti-drug operation in this southern port city, the police reported Tuesday, September 13, 2022.

Police Brigadier General Neil Alinsangan, Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula director, identified the arrested suspect as Dennis Bella, 49, a resident of Putik village, Zamboanga City.

Alinsangan said that Bella was arrested in an anti-drug operation launched by personnel of Regional Drug Enforcement Unit-9 around 4:53 p.m. Monday at Timex Subdivision in Baliwasan village.

Alinsangan said seized from the suspect were some 16 grams of suspected shabu worth P108,800, a sling bag and P1,000 marked money.

He said the suspect was detained at the detention facility of the Zamboanga City Police Office pending the filing of formal charges against him. (SunStar Zamboanga)
