THE 10TH Infantry Division concluded the 60-day Civil-Military Operations Capability Enhancement Training (CMOCET) at the Agila Hall, Camp General Manuel T. Yan Sr. in Mawab, Davao De Oro, on Sept. 13.

Capt. Mark Anthony Tito, 10th Infantry Division Public Affairs Office chief, said 32 personnel, composed of three officers and 29 enlisted personnel, graduated from the training.

Tito said the objective of CMOCET is to enhance the knowledge, skills, expertise, and capabilities of CMO operators to counter the urban operations of the Communist Terrorist Group (CTG).

In his message, 10ID Commander MGen. Nolasco A. Mempin emphasized the importance of enhancing the individual soldier’s and unit’s competencies for them to be able to conquer the challenges of confronting the enemies of the state.

“I hope that you will put into good use what you have learned and acquired from this training. Our campaign to fight insurgency is still ongoing kaya sana lagi nating isa puso at isip ang lahat ng natutuhan nyong kaalaman at kasanayan,” Mempin added.

Before graduating from CMOCET, the students also finished their immersion in the 1002nd Infantry Brigade area of responsibility.

As a result of their CMO activities, the students have established an additional Barangay Information Network (BIN), identified issues the New People’s Army might use to recover the cleared barangays, and facilitated the recovery of 18 assorted illegal high-powered firearms.
