THE Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR)-Zamboanga Peninsula released some P439,500 worth of livelihood input materials for local fisherfolks.

Alzath Cunting, BFAR Zamboanga Peninsula officer-in-charge, said the livelihood intervention includes 20 units of 13-horse power marine engine, three units of mobile fish vending tri-bike, five sets of processing and kitchen utensils and 10 units of fiberglass ice box.

Cunting said the livelihood intervention was distributed Thursday, November 10, at the BFAR regional office in Zamboanga City and witnessed by Mayor John Dalipe and Jose Dalipe, the representative of Second District Congressman Jose Manuel Dalipe.

“These interventions are aimed to continually bring support and assistance to marginalized fisherfolks in the city, including women and youth,” Cunting said.

Also present during the activity were officials of BFAR regional office and the Office of the City Agriculture. (SunStar Zamboanga)
