A MAN was killed in a gun attack while playing online games in the town of Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay, the police reported Monday, January 30, 2023.

Police Colonel Eduard Mallo, Zamboanga Sibugay police director, identified the fatality as Ramil Magalong Magallon, 42.

Mallo said that Magallon was fatally shot around 8:30 p.m. Sunday, January 29, at Purok 5, Sitio Singkilon, in Baga village, Naga, Zamboanga Sibugay.

He said investigation showed Magallon was seated in a tricycle parked near his residence and playing online games when a lone gunman appeared and repeatedly shot the victim with a caliber .45 pistol.

He said the victims died instantaneously while the suspect, clad in bonnet, face mask and black pants, fled the scene towards the town of Kabasalan.

Recovered at the crime scene were four empty shells of caliber .45 pistol.

The police of Naga are conducting in-depth probe to determine the motive as well as unmask the suspect behind the incident. (SunStar Zamboanga)
