TWO of the top most wanted persons in Zamboanga Penisula were separately arrested by policemen in a law enforcement operation, the police reported Thursday, March 9, 2023.

The Police Regional Office-Zamboanga Peninsula identified them as Fernando Dio, 29; and Jomar Posadas, 33.

The police said Dio was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 4:23 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in Malagasan village, Imus, Cavite.

The police said that Dio, a resident of Metokong village, Dumalinao, is the fourth most wanted person in the province of Zamboanga del Sur.

Dio has pending warrant of arrest for the crime of murder and frustrated murder issued by the court in Pagadian City, Zamboanga del Sur dated May 13, 2019.

The court set the recommended bail for the frustrated murder case at P200,000 while no bail was recommended for the crime of murder.

The police said Posadas was arrested around 6:20 p.m. Wednesday, March 8, in Poblacion village, Ajuy, Iloilo.

Posadas is the eighth most wanted person in Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay.
