TWO of the most wanted persons in Zamboanga Peninsula were separately arrested in law enforcement operations, the police reported Monday, May 1, 2023.

Arrested were the following: Dexter Gomez Ramirez, 45, and Reynard Ladion Saluso, 30.

Police Colonel Alexander Lorenzo, Zamboanga City Police Office director, said that Ramirez was arrested in a law enforcement operation by way of service of warrant of arrest around 2 p.m. Sunday in Sitio Anahaw, Galas village, Dipolog City, Zamboanga del Norte.

Lorenzo said that Ramirez is the sixth most wanted person in Zamboanga City and has a pending warrant of arrest for the crime of frustrated murder, with P200,000 recommended bail issued by a court of this city dated April 26, 2023.

Police Colonel Glenn Dulawan, Zamboanga del Norte police director, said that Saluso was arrested around 12:40 p.m. Sunday on Katipunan Street, Bayanbayanan village, Malabon City.

Dulawan said that Saluso is on top of the most wanted person list in the town of Gutalac, Zamboanga del Norte.

He said Saluso has a standing warrant of arrest for the crime of murder with no bail recommended and frustrated murder with P300,000 recommended bail issued by a court of Liloy, Zamboanga del Norte dated September 23, 2013.

He said the suspect was taken to the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Manila for documentation and proper disposition. (SunStar Zamboanga)
